Virtu Ferries recently launched their 2008 brochure, La Sicilia di Virtu Ferries at the Amitex travel fair in Ta Qali.

The brochure features an extensive list of hotels, of every class, across Sicily as well as the increasingly popular family holiday agriturismo and also specific excursions such as cross country horse riding and cycling. The daily crossings, twice daily three times in the week, have made Sicily both accessible and popular for quick get-aways and well-priced family holidays. The beautiful scenery of the Provincia di Ragusa and Modica, with mountains, lakes and rolling countryside, only minutes away from the catamaran's port of call Pozzallo, is becoming increasingly popular with nature loving Maltese visitors.

Virtu carries around 200,000 passengers and 18,000 vehicles between the neighbouring islands of Malta and Sicily and are acknowledged specialists of the Sicilian market.

A Malta brochure was simultaneously launched on the Sicilian market. Virtu Ferries have streamlined their schedule to attract visitors from Sicily to Malta. The number of visitors to Sicily, staying at a number of "villaggio turistico" in the south of Sicily, taking Virtu's day return Malta excursion is ever on the increase as are the number of Sicilians taking weekend breaks in Malta or enjoying a longer stay. While Sicilians of all age groups are finding Malta an interesting destination, Virtu is this year targeting the younger age group who tend to stay in Malta longer.
