I fail to see how you can apply the description "criticism" to a blatant lie, viz. the allegation about the supposed appointment of Jason Micallef, especially when it was repudiated straight away by the MLP.
That denial was reported on this site yesterday at 20:51.
Yet, the Nazzjon repeated the allegation in today's issue. If that constitutes 'criticism', and not intentional 'venom', then perhaps I should get myself some tuition to re-learn the new definitions that are used in ethics.
This is not paranoia; it is seeing things for what they are - and calling them by their appropriate name.

Wally vella Zarb-------No they are not correct and neither are the Nationalists when they say the same.............criticism is just that and if somebody can't take criticism and sees it as mere venom from an "eternal" enemy than he/she should give up politics or go to somewhere like Zimbabwe............take a leaf from J.Muscat himself who approached Gonzi and said that "we are different but we are the same team....Team Malta..."
Have you heard J.Muscat ever invoke "venom" or call the PN supporters "lickers" or all the adjectives Dr.Sant used to give???...NO
Change does not start with a Leader...change starts from a unified front of people who really want to see and make change happen.................seeing others as venomous is the agent of paranoia and more of the same...........

"....let us hope that this is what some bloggers like to call "the PN venom" ."
Please stay on course and do not deviate!
YOU invoked the words quoted above in connection with your question
" ...Is it true that JASON MICALLEF is about to become the Head of Super One TV??? ( therefore the head of anything the MLP churns out on a daily basis to the thousands who follow One TV)"
Do you or do you not agree that the allegation, which you quoted, is typical of "...what some bloggers like to call "the PN venom" ."? Are these bloggers not correct when they use that appellative to describe the inflammatory allegations that are continually pumped out by the PN media?

...........did anyone expect the MLP to say "........iiiiiiiiiiii mela kellhom ragun tan-Net...........kemm jafu alla jbierek"???..........we'll wait and see......
@Pauline barbara------a few hours after Clinton lost she rallied all her supporters to tell them that she will be supporting Obama and used Obama's own "message of change" ...........where did you see G.Abela and M.Falzon rallying behind Muscat or singing ( Falzon at least) ...Generazzjoni rebbieha..."???? On Bondi+ where they threw every imaginable accusation at the way things occurred in this Leadership campaign??? Or maybe on Vici Versa on which MICHEAL FALZON was NEVER invited??? Or maybe in the Zebbug festa where Falzon was while all of you here were writing poetry in Hamrun!!
..................or maybe you should read E.Bartolo's accusations of a whispering campaign on Sunday's MaltaToday
...........MLC??? She issues a two parag. statement and some of you here act as if democracy has been rediscovered............why don't you tell MLC to push her fervent follower Joe Debono Grech back into the Party for Joseph's sake??? Why didn't she go to the CNL last Sunday to support Joseph??
Those who regard criticism as venom need to get a copy of the "Rapport tat-Telfa" and read!!!

Not really interested in the politics issue here however one comment struck me.
V. Cauchi wrote 'Joseph and his wife Michelle are the most admired couple in Malta'
I tend to disagree completely.
For me, i can only admire couples such as that of my grandparents (over 65 years together) and our ex-President Censu Tabone who stand side by side for many, many years!
What is there to admire in a couple who, like myself, have been married for less than a decade?

@Crockford
So according to you Joseph Muscat stating that things need to be changed within the Party means that he is covering things up and trying to persuade us all that things are all rosy in the Labour Party Garden? Pray do tell me how you came to that conclusion by reading between what lines?
If you are referring to the other contenders for Labour Leader who are dissapointed they didn't get elected - I suggest you ask Mr. John Dalli how he felt when Gonzi beat him in the election for PN Leader?
They're all dissapointed and yes there was lobbying in favour of Muscat, the same as there was lobbying for Gonzi by the PN Party - this happens in every party, in every country. Just look at the Clinton and Obama camps in the US constantly trying to score points off each other despite being part of the same party. As they say all is fair in love and war, but the contest is over now and I believe all contenders will get over their dissapointment and continue working for the Labour Party.
@ Albert Gauci-Cunningham
I can confirm that it is PN Venom

Please read the press release that has been issued by the MLP; you will then be able to decide for yourself and will not need to rely on bloggers.

What is this "Of course not that does not fit in the grand scheme of things."?
The MLP has had women candidates and Members of Parliament, as well as Ministers, for more than fifty years. The participation of women as Delegates in at least a minimum percentage was passed by the General Conference in 1992, soon after Alfred Sant became leader. Marie Louise was herself General Secretary of the MLP for many years. Helena Dalli was likewise entrusted with a Ministry.... Do you know anything about the MLP besides what you read in the PN media?

Well done, MLCP, you showed great character. People will take note of your loyalty and I'm pretty sure that JM will use your talents in many ways. Good luck.

Hang on V. Cauchi . I suggest you don't overplay the most admired couple bit. What we saw at the investiture of J.Muscat was disappointing. I suggest J. Muscat steer away from promoting his wife as a new madonna , the new role model for progressive women. It only went down well with those who want to promote patriarchy. That will be a mistake. I can't see a future in that. The new vision hardly has a word on gender issues let alone a true commitment to women's participation save that relegated to secondary roles. Look at the contenders for the deputy leadership. Is the party machine promoting a woman candidate? Of course not that does not fit in the grand scheme of things. There are a bunch of labour women who have a proven track record with promoting gender issues that do not stop at traditional roles. Marie Louise and the likes of her had better be seen at the forefront of this new party. Don't steer too much right of left or indeed there won't be much difference between the parties. Please act like truly convinced Europeans, stop imposing gender emargination. Try the Zapatero approach.

Not related to Marie Louise Coleiro-------------------Is it true that JASON MICALLEF is about to become the Head of Super One TV??? ( therefore the head of anything the MLP churns out on a daily basis to the thousands who follow One TV)
..................let us hope that this is what some bloggers like to call "the PN venom" ....because if its true than the earthquake becomes a tremor in a split of a second...........if JM really wants a new season he should thank micallef and make him the President of Kazin Hal-Muxa.....where he'll excercise his power and self satisfaction on the Joeys and Cikkus who like sipping a nice cuppa every morning!!!!!!!

Prosit Louise, well done Joseph, you two can team up and work together for the good of the Country, the Party and its followers. Those who like me have worked close M'Louise know where her heart is and she will not betray the workers cause. She is an asset which Joseph ought to make good use of.
I appeal likewise to all the other three contenders to work together, pool the intellectual rresources and abilities and start a fresh page with a common goal for the cause of the under priviledged, the workers and those who have at heart the country and its people.

Joseph Muscat does not need your pity. Joseph and his wife Michelle are the most admired couple in Malta. Your comment "The picture above says it all,if one reads between the lines" is hilarious. We usually read between the lines of a text not of a picture.
However in the picture above I see a beautiful determined person who have just gave a loud and clear example of what loyalty to the party really means
Well done Marie Louise. Labour needs you and more people like you.

It would be very unwise to sideline Ms. Coleiro Preca. The MLP shouldn’t encourage the patriarchal model. That would be tantamount to a repudiation of one of Manuel Dimech's most enlightened visions : the proactive Maltese woman.

I honestly pity Dr.Muscat....what a jumbled party he inherited!!! What great lengths they are taking to assure us that all is well on their front...my foot!!!!!The picture above says it all,if one reads between the lines!!!
Well one thing for sure though...Dr.Muscat has joined the smileys gang...and now they are 3!!! Dr.Gonzi,His Grace and Joseph make a picturesque trio!!

Well done Marie Louise and Joseph. As the new leader said, ML is the heart of socialism as it should be. She is the one that carries most morality and ethics in politics. Keep it up ML. We all love you and admire you. As to Joseph, he is a remarkable, energetic young man full of the requisite which our country needs at this point in time. God is with you Joseph. Use your talents well and you and us shall have no regrets.

Marie Louis is unique.
Her loyalty towards the party and towards the electorate is superb.
During the leadership campaign i was for Joseph Muscat but she must have a central role in the party, please take note Dr Muscat.
