I refer to Rachel Mifsud's letter What Women Don't Need (June 7), about the indecent exposure incidents in Marsascala. I have heard similar stories about the lack of action by our supposed protectors of the law. It is a pity the police sometimes give the impression that they go into action only when there is a serious accident or when somebody is killed. They always seem to forget that prevention is better than cure - and that it would avoid unnecessary suffering for victims.

If our respected Police Commissioner is worth his salt, he would call Ms Mifsud, ask her the date and time of her calls to the police, and take action.
