The fine line between fact and fiction has been explored by author Lino Grech who has drawn inspiration from his years spent working at the law courts and injected that reality with a dose of imagination in his new book of short stories.
The book, Non Omnis Moriar, contains stories stemming from ideas that germinated in Mr Grech's mind when he served as Director General and Court Registrar until 1996. The stories were then "moulded by the tortuous imagination of the author," the English book's preface reads.
Mr Grech also recently released a collection of stories in Maltese called Ħajja ta' Bniedem (A Man's Life) and a collection of poems Għerf il-Bniedem (Man's Wisdom) that explore the inner workings of humanity and life as lived by the author. Mr Grech was born on March 9, 1940, and entered the civil service in 1959. He has already published short stories in both Maltese and English and has also published three collections of poetry.
