The feast of St Joseph is celebrated in Rabat on March 19.

The original document by the civil and ecclesiastical authorities declaring March 19 as the day on which the feast of St Joseph is to be celebrated is conserved at the Mdina Cathedral archives.

Mass will be celebrated at the church dedicated to St Mary of Jesus by the Franciscan Provincial Fr Sandro Overend on June 15 at 6 p.m. A procession with the old statue of St Joseph will proceed from the church to the Mdina Cathedral.

The statue will be exposed for public veneration at the Cathedral on June 16 throughout the day. Archbishop Paul Cremona will celebrate Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral at 6 p.m. and afterwards will lead another procession to take the statue back to St Mary of Jesus church.

The anniversary celebration will reach its climax with the feast of St Joseph in Rabat on March 19, next year.
