As from this month, the electronic, fully-refereed journal Journal of Maltese Education Research (JMER) is changing its title to Maltese Journal of Educational Research (MJER) and will discontinue the practice of privileging local over international submissions.

The new editorial policy reflects the increased overseas interest in JMER as a platform for international academic recognition. Currently, over 40 per cent of the 2,000 subscribers are located in countries other than Malta.

The first edition of MJER to be issued later this month will be a special issue on multiculturalism and education.

MJER is edited by Carmel Borg, former dean of the Faculty of Education, who is also coordinator of MJER events. To subscribe to the journal, view www.um.edu.mt/educ/jmer/
