Births

EL-BEBAS. On June 2, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, to Hazar and Abdul Baset, God's precious gift of a daughter - MARIAM. Thanks to the obstetrician, midwife Carmen Scerri and to all the maternity staff at the hospital. Special thanks to all the supportive family and friends.

SALIBA. On June 3, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Francesca née Montesin and Peter, God's precious gift of a son - LUIGI GIORGIO, a most welcome brother to Giulia. Thanks be to God. Special thanks to the maternity staff.

Golden Wedding

RITCHIE and CONNIE were married on Sunday, June 8, 1958, at St Ignatius church, Old College Street, Sliema. A thanksgiving Mass is being celebrated today at 7.30 p.m. at the Carmelite parish church, Balluta, St Julian's. Congratulations from your children and in-laws, Patricia and Silvio Borg, Ian and Rita Azzopardi, and Paul, and your grandchildren Andrew, Debbie, Matthew and Mark Andrew. With love and gratitude from all of us. We wish you many more happy years together.

Obituary

BORG. On June 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, aged 85, of St Julian's, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her children Vivi and her husband Freddie, Charlie and his wife Maryanne, Tessie and her husband Joe, Maryanne and her husband Johnnie, and Rita, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for St Julian's parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.15 a.m. followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant her eternal rest.

CAMILLERI. On June 7, at Mater Dei Hospital, ALFRED (Von Fred), aged 70,of St Paul's Bay, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to morun his loss his wife Carmen, his only son Melchisedech and his wife Angèle, his grandson Nicholas, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

CASSAR. On June 6, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAUL, aged 63, of Fleur-de-Lys passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Antoinette, his children Jacqueline and her husband Brian Schembri, Sharon and her husband Martin Mifsud, and Keith and his fiancée Raisa, his grandchildren Ian, Kimberly, Kyle, Shanice and Nicole, his brother Leli and his wife Nathalie, his sister Carmen and her husband Jimmy Scerri, and Grace, widow of his brother Joe, nephews, nieces, in-laws, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.

VELLA. On June 7, WILLIAM (formerly of Saltfish Co. Ltd), aged 57, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Jacqueline née Vella, his loving children Melany and her fiancé, Jonathan and his fiancée, his sister Ruth Galea Vella, his mother-in-law Mary Vella, his in-laws Joseph and his wife Elizabeth Vella, Doreen and her husband Sebastian Duco, Sandra and her husband Joseph Darmanin, nephews, nieces, other relatives and numerous friends.
The funeral leaves Boffa Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for the Immaculate Conception Church, Ibraġ, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Malta Hospice Movement will be greatly appreciated. Lord grant him eternal rest.
