Gasan Mamo sponsors Palace Armoury educational programme

Heritage Malta has confirmed Gasan Mamo Insurance as the official patron and sponsor of Heritage Malta's education programme at the Palace Armoury. The armoury is visited by hundreds of students every month, many of whom take part in this educational programme.

Heritage Malta has produced workbooks in Maltese and English for both primary and secondary school students containing tasks that the children can carry out during visits. There is also a resource book for teachers to prepare the class prior to the visits. Gasan Mamo managing director Albert Mamo recently visited the armoury and presented a cheque for €11,646, the third instalment of a three-year sponsorship programme. Heritage Malta chairman Mario Tabone said Gasan Mamo's support will help upgrade the armoury displays and provide an educational experience to instil in children a love for Maltese heritage. This year Gasan Mamo is also sponsoring the Young Knights programme, which involves the publication of educational workbooks and replicas of parts of the suit of armour which can be handled by students during educational visits.
