Some of Malta's up-and-coming wrestlers will be taking part in two international events this month.

This weekend, a team of three Maltese wrestlers, led by national coach Jesmond Giordimaina, will compete in the Great Britain Cup 2008 in Sheffield, England.

Abraham Vassallo has entered the seniors' 84kg category while Aidan Buhagiar and Matthew Bonnici, although still juniors, will be participating in the senior 96kg and 55kg respectively.

Between June 21 and 22, Vassallo, also the Malta Amateur Wrestling Federation Youth Director, will be in charge of five wrestlers in the Youth Internationals 2008, to be held in Kruibeke, Belgium.

David Zammit will figure in the cadets division 63kg category and his team-mates, namely Bonnici (55kg), Adam Vella (60kg), Andrea Saliba (66kg) and Buhagiar (84kg), will test themselves in the junior division.
