A man was yesterday charged with possession of two cannabis plants and cultivating the drug on and before Tuesday.

Magistrate Antonio Mizzi heard Darren Debono, 34, of Mosta plead not guilty to cultivating cannabis and to being in possession of cannabis with the intent to sell.

He was remanded in custody.

Police Inspectors Norbert Ciappara and Pierre Grech prosecuted.

Lawyer Kenneth Grima appeared for Mr Debono.
