HSBC couldn't have chosen a better image, that of an Elvis Presley impersonator, to promote their services. Even the company that makes Viagra has jumped on the Elvis bandwagon. They too, are using the theme from his hit movie Viva (Love) In Las Vegas for their latest promotion of their product.

Thirty years on from his death, the name of Elvis Presley still draws attention as it did way back in the 1950s when he first started out on his illustrious and, perhaps, unequalled musical career. Generations came and generations went but Elvis came and stayed and it seems he will stay forever. Young and old alike, even people who had not even been born when he was alive, idolise him.

The world gave itself Elvis Presley. And Elvis Presley gave the world a song. And that song will live forever. So will his name.

"Elvis Presley is the greatest cultural force in the 20th century" (Leonard Bernstein).
