Nearly 50 felines will be parading their shiny coats on the catwalk on Sunday for an end-of-season show organised by the Malta Feline Guardians Club at the Coastline Hotel, Salina Bay.
Cat shows are not usually held at this time of year, however, due to popular demand and many requests from visitors, the club decided to go ahead and close the season at a later date.
The club would like to be able to hold cat shows all year round, but the summer heat is too much for pets and it is important to give them a break from the constant grooming and washing that goes into keeping a cat in perfect show condition.
Doors open at 11 a.m. and close at 6p.m. The public can vote for its favourite feline while browsing through the hall admiring these wonderful creatures.
Both pure breed and domestic house cats, which are part of the island's heritage, will be shown in separate categories.
This show is being supported by Pet Nutrition House, Micabliss Persians, and Aroma TV on Education 22. For more information call 9999 0022.
