No decision yet on Kosovo

The government has elected to take a decision on the recognition of Kosovo at an opportune time, Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg told Parliament. Answering a question by Leo Brincat (MLP), Dr Borg said the issue was one of a country's sovereignty.

The government has elected to take a decision on the recognition of Kosovo at an opportune time, Foreign Affairs Minister Tonio Borg told Parliament.

Answering a question by Leo Brincat (MLP), Dr Borg said the issue was one of a country's sovereignty. The government was following developments in both Kosovo and Serbia, particularly in the wake of last month's parliamentary and local elections and the ongoing consultations on the formation of a new Serb government.
