Availability of hospital beds

The number of available beds at Mater Dei Hospital in April was 860 for in-patients and 66 for day cases. Social Policy Minister John Dalli compared these figures with the 859 and 55 beds respectively available at St Luke's Hospital in last October.

Social Policy Minister John Dalli compared these figures with the 859 and 55 beds respectively available at St Luke's Hospital in last October. The average number of beds occupied daily at that time was 733.

Mr Dalli was answering a parliamentary question by Silvio Parnis (MLP).
