A man has filed a court application calling on the authorities to honour the recommendations made by the Tribunal for the Investigation of Injustices, which had ruled in his favour in April 2003.
The application was filed against Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi by Frederick Attard, from Guardamangia.
Mr Attard claimed that on April 9, 2003, the tribunal handed down an award in the case he had filed against the then Transport and Ports Minister. The tribunal had declared that Mr Attard had suffered an injustice and recommended that he be promoted to air terminal executive with effect from 1992. It also recommended that he be placed on the seniority list as if he had been promoted in 1992 and be paid the difference in salary.
Mr Attard said the recommendations were never honoured and he therefore called on the Prime Minister to honour them immediately. He warned of further legal action in default.
Lawyer Henry Antoncich signed the application.
