Virgin Drinks, which has forged alliances with some of the world's biggest drink distributors around the world, will be launched on the local market soon. In Malta, Virgin Drinks has joined forces with Borg and Aquilina Ltd who are the local appointed exclusive importers and distributors of Virgin Drinks.

Virgin Drinks launched in the UK in 1994 to worldwide media attention. They are now available in 15 countries across the European, Asian and African continents. With sales of one million cans sold every day, the Virgin Drinks company currently achieves global annual sales of £300 million. Packaged in unique "CurV" bottles modelled exclusively on the curvaceous body of Pamela Anderson, the carbonated soft drinks come in a variety of flavours popular among both the young and old.

The company is one of Virgin's 200 branded companies worldwide. A study held last year by top company HPI Research showed that the UK public voted Virgin as their most admired brand. Virgin received more votes than any other brand with 23 per cent of votes. Sony came second with 21 per cent, while Tesco came third with 20 per cent. The results come from a nationally representative survey of 2,000 adults conducted between February and April last year.

Virgin is one of the world's most recognised and respected brands. Conceived way back in 1970 by Sir Richard Branson, the Virgin Group has gone from strength to strength, growing into an immensely successful business in sectors ranging from mobile telephony (Virgin Mobile), to transportation (Virgin Atlantic), drinks (Virgin Drinks), travel (Virgin Charter), financial services (Virgin Money), leisure (Virgin Games), music (Virgin Radio), holidays (Virgin Vacations), publishing (Virgin Books) and retailing (Virgin Wines).

Virgin employs approximately 50,000 people in 29 countries. Revenues around the world in 2006 exceeded £10 billion.
