A father and son today pleaded not guilty to attempting to commit insurance fraud when they allegedly filed a false police report claiming that a motorcycle had been stolen.

He was also accused of filing a false police report at the Qawra police station on July 29, 2007 and of relapsing.
Alex Vella alone was further accused of committing a crime during the operative period of a suspended sentence as well as to committing a crime when he had been conditionally discharged for three years.
Before Magistrate Saviour Demicoli, the two men pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them.
