Coach tours to Mosta

An article on May 14 spoke of the need for careful planning for coach transport for visiting cruise liner tourists and for organised tours.

In Mosta, hundreds of tourists are brought over to visit the Rotunda. The local council has provided the tour operators with parking spaces right in front of the church at a nominal fee. The coaches are controlled by the ever present local wardens who also supervise the heavy traffic that passes through Mosta square to avoid any congestion. The tour operator guides are kind enough to let the tourists roam around for at least 30 minutes, as they do in Valletta, Mdina, crafts village etc. In this way they are generating hundreds of euros to the benefit of the Mosta business community, for which we are most grateful.

With everyone on board we can succeed and enjoy, but again we are still awaiting the analysis of the pollution generated in Mosta square.
