Car wash marathon continues today

A 50-hour car wash marathon in aid of the Children's Fund of Aġenzija Appoġġ continues today till 8 p.m. at the Ta' Xbiex marina.

Social Policy Minister John Dalli and Joe Gerada, chief executive of the Foundation for Social Welfare Services visited the marathon yesterday. A number of private companies are also supporting this year's marathon.

The fund is run by a committee of social workers and members of the agency's management team. Last year it distributed €7,437 (Lm3,192) to assist 254 children.
