An exhibition of wooden sculptures and paintings titled Sea Dreaming is being held at St James Cavalier in Valletta.

It is hosted by Derek Nice in collaboration with Vince Briffa, artist and installation designer, and Digby Atkinson, painter and printmaker.

Percussionist and composer Renzo Spiteri with Sarah Spiteri, violinist, performed during the opening night.

The exhibition runs until June 23.

Following an active professional career as a designer and teacher in the visual and performing arts, Mr Nice has, for the last 15 years, concentrated on the development of his own individual work as a painter/sculptor/collaborator.

He is based in the UK and in Malta and his work reflects maritime themes and the archaeology, myths and legends of these islands and the coastal edge of northern waters.
