Cultural heritage law

President Emeritus Ugo Mifsud Bonnici launched his latest publication, An Introduction To Cultural Heritage Law, under the patronage of President Eddie Fenech Adami at the Palace, Valletta on Thursday.

The book, published by Midsea Books Ltd, was supported jointly by the Maltese Superintendency for Cultural Heritage and Heritage Malta. The publication tries to bridge the laws on land use and planning with those protecting cultural heritage. It seeks to bring together Malta's legislation relevant to these matters together with the rich international texts in treaties, charters and conventions.

It contains a number of quotations from the sources together with the author's comments in the light of his own experience as a lawyer and as a minister.
