Radju Marija will hold an open weekend tomorrow and Sunday on the theme Together As Servants With Mary, at the Dominican convent in Rabat which houses the station.

Opening times are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Prior to this event, Radju Marija volunteers are invited to attend a prayer vigil in the seminary's chapel at Tal-Virtù, Rabat today between 8 and 10 p.m.

The weekend coincides with the celebration of the feast of the Visitation tomorrow and the 13th anniversary of the radio's first broadcast on a community level as Radio 106-Radju Maria.

A seminar dealing with the theme of the open weekend will be held tomorrow from 10 a.m. to noon. Radju Marija director Fr Charles Fenech will be a special guest together with couples who work with the station and couples from the Cana Movement who will share experiences.

At 4.30 p.m., there will be a Eucharistic concelebration led by Fr Fenech together with the religious and diocesan priests who participate in the station's programmes.

An activity for children between six and 12, organised by the Noah's Ark Club will be held on Sunday at 5 p.m.

Entertainer Frank O'Neill, will be the main guest. Archbishop Paul Cremona is expected to visit at 7 p.m. on Sunday and deliver a message.

Staff from the Blood Bank will be at the convent from 9 a.m. till noon on Sunday for visitors to donate blood.

The station was set up through the work of Christian volunteers who are members of the Association of Radju Marija Malta to bring the Word of God and the teaching of the Catholic Church to Maltese and Gozitan homes. Radju Marija does not air commercials and is financed by its listeners.

It broadcasts round the clock in Maltese.
