A delegation from the hunters' federation (FKNK) had a meeting with Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi on Tuesday.

The meeting was requested by the federation.

The discussions did not focus on particular issues but on what could be discussed in the coming days.

The talks would dwell on spring hunting, the trapping of song birds and hunting at sea. They would also deal with other regulations of a local nature that do not fall within the conditions imposed by the EU, the federation said.
