The blue paint that was splashed on the façade of the Magdalene chapel in Dingli in an act of vandalism earlier this week is to be left to dry completely before it is removed.

This decision was taken by the restoration section of the Ministry for Resources and Rural Affairs after it analysed the type of paint used.

Restoration works will therefore start within the next couple of days.

The ministry deplored the act and has appealed to the public to contact the police with any information related to the case.
