RS2 senior management recently attended the EE&CIS Oracle Partner Network Day in Turkey to further develop their close working partnership with Oracle and to deliver a presentation on the integration of Oracle security products within Bank- WORKS, RS2's software solu- tion.

Covering all aspects of card management including issuing, acquiring, authorisation and ATM management, Godwin Schembri, chief technology officer of RS2 Software plc described how RS2 immediately set out to ensure that through their systems, clients would be able to comply with the latest Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.

PCI-DSS are a set of guidelines created and maintained by the major card schemes to highlight security weaknesses when processing, storing or transmitting payment card data that may lead to fraud.

RS2 has been committed to Oracle technologies since 2001 when it set off to rewrite its older version to the current high performance version.

With benchmark results showing processing of over three million transactions in just under an hour, it was clear that Oracle was a good technology choice for RS2.

Mario Schembri, chief executive officer of RS2 Software plc described the event as a unique opportunity to network with some of Oracle's most strategic partners in the region and meet with top Oracle executives to discuss and plan the strategic alliance between RS2 and Oracle.
