The Retail Price Index went up from 113.66 in March to 114.08 in April this year, representing a 0.37 per cent increase. This primarily reflected an increase of 2.77 per cent in the clothing and footwear Index.

In April the 12-month moving average rate of inflation stood at 2.25 per cent, whereas the annual rate stood at 3.56 per cent.
