Police arrested two 15-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man yesterday after an Asian teenager was beaten to death in a park in northern England.
The dead teenager, Amar Aslam, 17, was discovered on Sunday night in Crow Nest Park in Dewsbury. West Yorkshire Police said he "had been subjected to a sustained and vicious beating" and died from head injuries.
"Police have now arrested three local men in connection with the man's death," police said in a statement. Detective Superintendent Chris Thompson said the motive for the attack was unclear.
"We would like to appeal for anyone who was in the park between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. yesterday to come forward and help us build a clearer picture of events," he said.
"We know the park was very busy yesterday with a lot of groups of young people around during the day."
