I refer to James George's letter (Sicily Fare Advert, May 14).
It is unfortunate that Mr George is not in possession of one of our promotional flyers; one was sent to every household. Thousands of passengers have, as a result of our advertising campaign, taken advantage of the 50 per cent discount on our economy fare to Sicily; none of these clients, except Mr George, has indicated in any way that they felt misled. Discounts are not there to be abused; they are, inevitably, subject to declared conditions.
As to Mr George's "challenge" we invite him, if it is a bona fide challenge, to address this in a forum where he can seek redress.
We will not engage in further correspondence on this trivial matter.
