Cliché Media and Entertainment, producers of the TV programme Sellili with International Sales Direct of Qormi, have presented a 200-litre solar water heater worth €1,500 to Mgr Victor Grech on behalf of Caritas Malta.

Caritas is planning to open a centre which will offer assistance to drug-abused pregnant women. The centre needs €140,000 for its daily running, besides the sum to construct the building.

Mgr Grech appealled to the government to recognise the seriousness of the financial problems they are faced with and asked for financial assistance to make the centre functional.

The solar water heater will be installed at the Caritas' premises, Prison Inmates Programme.

Mgr Grech said that the recovery rate of people who attend San Blas courses regularly is 85 per cent.
