Classic Opel rally to celebrate 25 years in Malta

As United Automobile Limited, representatives of Opel in Malta, celebrate 25 years of Opel in Malta, a rally of Opel classic cars will be held next Sunday, in collaboration with the Old Motors Club.

Classic Opel owners should assemble near the Opel Showroom in Ta' Xbiex at 8 a.m. The drive, kicking off at 9 a.m., will proceed through Sliema Front, the Coast Road and on to Golden Bay. There will be a short stop near the Domus Romana in Rabat. The rally will then proceed via Żebbuġ to Siġġiewi and the Blue Grotto in Żurrieq. After another brief stop, the rally returns to Ta' Xbiex through Marsa and Msida.

Vintage and classic Opels are likely to include 1960s Rekords, one of which is a caravan, 1960s Cadets, one of which is a coupé, 1950s Kapitans, Vauxhalls Viva, 1934 Vauxhall DX, 1933 Vauxhall BXL, 1948 Vauxhall 14, 1948 Vauxhall 12, 1952 Vauxhall Wyvern and 1959 Vauxhall Cresta.

The new Opel range will also be displayed.
