Creative focus at Digital Arts Expo

The Malta International Digital Arts Expo 2008 will showcase the best of Malta's creative talent in the digital artists gallery zone between July 3 and 6 at the Hilton Conference Centre, St Julian's.

All artists can submit their work for inclusion in the gallery, with only one proviso - that the works be either digitally produced or enhanced. This opens the gallery to any artist using a digital medium: computer-generated graphics artists, photographers, even multimedia works that include enhanced scans of traditionally produced works of art.

"The Malta International Digital Arts Expo 2008 is a celebration of the meeting point between creativity and business through digital technology," said Jon Mallia of Insight Communications Agency (ICA), the organisers of the event. "The artists' gallery brings the out potential of digital media for creativity - as well as highlighting the tremendous talent there is in Malta."

All works to be included in the artists' gallery should be submitted in digital form. The expo organisers will ensure that they are printed to the highest standards by Canon through their agents Avantech. There are no fees this year, neither for participation nor for printing.

Submission does not, however, guarantee display in the artists' gallery.

The organisers reserve the right to select the works of art to be exhibited from all the submissions. Display on the online gallery, however, is completely unrestricted - only inappropriate material will be removed, if necessary.

Submissions to the digital artists gallery zone, accompanied by full contact details, should be e-mailed to info@digitalartsexpo.com, and should be in low resolution for selection purposes only.
