Local and foreign artists will be putting their works of art on sale to raise money for two projects aimed at putting a smile on children's faces.

Two non-profit organisations, Rotaract Malta La Valette and Assoċjazzjoni Voluntarji Lourdes (AVL), have for the first time joined forces to organise the event.

Rotaract's St Patrick's School Launching Pad project aims at preparing young boys in institutional care for life's challenges. Rotaract is aiming to renovate four rooms to be used by senior boys as a semi-independent unit. The project is estimated to cost around €10,000 (Lm4,293).

AVL is a voluntary association that organises pilgrimages for the sick to Lourdes every September. The association's goal is to sponsor all sick children attending and most family members.

The exhibition will be held at the Chamber of Commerce in Valletta on Saturday and will be hosted by Rotaract president Steve Spiteri and AVL chairman Jean Paul Fabri.
