The statute for a local action group in the EU 'Leader' scheme for development of rural comunities was approved last Tuesday at the NGO's centre in Xewkija. The group will cover all of Gozo since all councils showed their willingness to become founder members of this private-public venture.

The other four founders represent a wide spectrum of commercial and voluntary sectors. Membership forms and more details about the group will be released soon.
