The Foundation for Human Resources Development and the Centre for Labour Market Studies, University of Leicester, hosted the annual presentation ceremony to honour 23 graduates at the Malta Chamber of Commerce and Enterprise, Valletta.
CLMS lecturer Nikolaus Hammer addressed them on behalf of the University of Leicester, in the presence of Francis Borg, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Education.
The graduates were: Alexandra Agius, Horatia Borg and Paul Muscat (Certificate in Training Practice and Human Resource Management); Angele Bartolo, Suzanne Debono, Christabel Falzon Ronayne, Simone Grimaldi, Harish Malani, and Simeona Zerafa (Diploma in Human Resource Management); Daniela Gauci (Diploma in Training and Development); Isabelle Aquilina, Moira Attard, Pauline Borg, James Catania, Jacqueline Farrugia, Marie Louise Fenech, Michelle Fenech Seguna, Etienne Ferrito, Joe Morana, and George Spiteri (Masters in Training and Human Resource Management); and Raymond Dimech, Patrick Steve Scerri, and Stephen Vella (Masters in Training and Performance Management).
The graduates were sponsored by Actavis Ltd, Bank of Valletta, De La Rue Currency and Security Print Ltd, Foster Clark Products Ltd, the Malta Financial Services Authority, Malta Maritime Authority, Staff Development Organisation, and Studio 7 Co. Ltd.
The Staff Development Organisation sponsors several students year after year for the CLMS programmes. The second Louis Naudi Award, which distinguishes a unique person always present for others, was presented to Marie Louise Fenech, M.Sc. Training and Human Resources Managment (October 2005 intake). The late Louis Naudi was an FHRD director, an M.Sc. graduate in Training and Human Resources Managment from CLMS and an external marker for the centre.
