Victor Scerri, the current incumbent, is uncontested for the post of president of the Nationalist Party's general council, nominations for which closed yesterday at noon.
The party said it received 39 nominations for the appointment of 13 representatives on the party's executive.
They are: Karol Aquilina (Siġġiewi); Margaret Ann Azzopardi (Sliema); Duncan Borg Myatt and Helena Ebejer (Paola); Paul Borg Olivier and Alexei Dingli (Valletta); Claudette Buttigieg k/a Claudette Pace and Frank Galea (Naxxar); Mary Cachia (Mosta); Josianne Cardona Gatt and Salvatore k/a Salvinu Ellul Bonici (Birkirkara); Ian Castaldi Paris (Lija); James Cauchi (Cospicua); Janice Chetcuti (Marsaxlokk); Joe Chetcuti and Jean Pierre Debono (Żebbuġ); Henri Darmanin and Peter Darmanin (Attard); Trevor De Giorgio (Balzan); Caroline Galea (Sta Luċija); David F. Galea (Mtarfa); Franco Galea and Boris Xerri (Pembroke); Karl Gouder, Clayton Tanti and Anna Maria Wismayer (St Julians); Paula Mifsud Bonnici (Ħamrun); Malcolm Mifsud and Charles Selvaggi (Pietà); Euchar Mizzi (Qala); Marthese Portelli and Sean Zammit (Victoria); Pierre Portelli (Għargħur); Ivan Schembri (Gudja); Randolph Spiteri (San Ġwann); Mary Helen Strout (Rabat); David Vassallo (Dingli); Lisa Wille Piscopo (Żejtun); and Frank Zammit (Marsa).
A party spokesman said the 13 successful candidates will form part of the party's executive which will elect the party's general secretary. The party executive totals 80 members, including 13 MPs, MEPs, and party members.
