Theft on foreigners

A total of 443 foreigners reported a theft to the police in the first four months of this year, Home Affairs Minister Carmelo Mifsud Bonnici said yesterday.

Replying to parliamentary questions by Labour MP Noel Farrugia, Dr Mifsud Bonnici said that 119 cases, including one in Gozo, were reported in January; 98, including one in Gozo in February; 110 in March; and 116, including four in Gozo, in April.

Dr Mifsud Bonnici said that eight thefts from government buildings were reported to the police in the same period - two cases in each of January and February, one case in March and three cases in April.
