Overseas social security pensions
A total of €11,696,824 (Lm5,021,446) were paid in overseas social security pensions last year.
Answering a question by Mr Silvio Parnis (MLP), Social Policy Minister John Dalli said that, in all, there were 5,196 beneficiaries overseas with the biggest number - 3,847 - being in Australia followed by 603 in Canada and 589 in the UK.
