Emanuele Grimaldi, chairman of Grimaldi, Naples and Malta Motorways of the Sea and Transport Minister Austin Gatt have inaugurated an updated Bridge and Communications Simulator at the MCAST Maritime Institute.

In March last year the Grimaldi Group, Naples had donated €133,000 to the Maritime Institute for the the upgrading of the institute’s simulator.

Malta Motorways of the Sea had also entered into a cooperation agreement with the institute , committing itself to support the training of Maltese cadets preparing to become officers.

To date 22 Maltese cadets are undergoing or have completed training on board Grimaldi vessels.
