Updated: Elderly woman critical after balcony gives way
An 85-year-old Sliema woman, Josephine Leaver, is fighting for her life after the balcony she was in gave way, and she fell on the pavement almost two storeys below, the police said.
The incident happened in Locker Street in Sliema.
Duty Magistrate Dr M Mallia appointed experts to help in an inquiry.
