A touch of class at motor show

They are old but still beautiful and their sleek shapes still attract attention.

This was evident at the first in a series of classic car shows held by the Old Motors Club at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Floriana earlier this month.

Sixty-one beautiful cars were on display in the hotel's extensive Piazza Marina, offering a breathtaking backdrop to both Marsamxett Harbour and Manoel Island.

The cars on display included Triumph Heralds, MGBs, MGAs, Shelby Cobras, Chevrolettes, Ford Capris MK1, Ford Escorts MK1, Minis, Cinquecentos, Volvos, Cortinas MK1 and Austins.

The Grand Hotel Excelsior's next car show will feature the Jaguar Enthusiast Club, the Mini Owners Club and the Ford Classics Club. This will be held on Sunday between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

Furthermore, the Old Motors Club will be holding a similar show at Mount Carmel Hospital on Saturday, from 2.30 p.m. onwards, and on Sunday.
