Branko Ivankovic has returned as coach of Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb, local media reported.

Ivankovic, who had left Dinamo in January after a row with management, had signed a four-year contract, the daily Jutarnji List reported. Details of the contract were not disclosed, but media said he would earn around 1 million euros ($1.56 million) over the four years.

Zvonimir Soldo stepped down as coach immediately after Dinamo completed the domestic double last week due to a strained relationship with management.

Dinamo chief Zdravko Mamic said he was overjoyed about Ivankovic's return.

"During this period (without Ivankovic) I felt like a man without an arm. Now, I'm very happy as I believe Ivankovic is a long-term solution for the team," Mamic said. Mamic, who has headed the Croatian team since the country's independence in 1991, has changed coaches several times in recent years.
