An Italian Military Mission helicopter yesterday morning went to the rescue of a 29-year-old Tunisian fisherman who suffered head injuries while on an Italian trawler some 54 miles off Malta.

The fisherman was given assistance by AFM Surgeon Lt. Colonel Robert Galea and hoisted on board an AB212 helicopter to be taken for treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.
