Dino Falzon, 23, of Marsaxlokk was yesterday charged with seriously injuring his former girlfriend and slightly injuring three other people during an argument. Magistrate Tonio Micallef Trigona heard Mr Falzon plead not guilty to seriously injuring Manuela Bonnici at her home on Sunday evening.

He also pleaded not guilty to slightly injuring Michelle Bonnici, Paul Busuttil and Darren Busuttil, threatening them and breaching the peace.

Magistrate Micallef Trigona granted the accused bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 (Lm858.36).

Police Inspector Arthur Mercieca prosecuted. Lawyers Franco Debono and Marion Camilleri appeared for Mr Falzon.
