Scouts 100th anniversary

On the occasion of the Scout Association centenary in Malta, past members over the age of 18 were invited to march in the annual Scout and Guide Parade in Valletta.

Charles Grixti and Paul Vella worked under the co-ordination of Chief Commissioner Godwin d'Anastasi to organise the event.

Old friends met at the association's headquarters. At 10 a.m a contingent was formed and marched off to meet the Guides and Scouts awaiting further orders at the Granaries in Floriana. Edward Tanti led the contingent.

Fellowship members met in front of the Old Opera House in Valletta under the direction of Paul Vella.

The contingent marched and saluted acting President George Hyzler at the Main Guard.
