Three seriously injured in Valletta brawl

Two men and a woman suffered serious injuries and one was for a time in danger of dying, following an argument in Valletta last night.

The police said it was alerted shortly after 1 a.m. about an injured man in Marsamxett Road.

The man, 23, appeared to have been injured in an argument a short while previously. He was rushed to hospital in an ambulance an was initially in danger of dying, but his condition has now improved.

A 22-year-old woman from Zurrieq and an 18-year-old Russian man also suffered serious injuries in the brawl.

Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera is holding an inquiry.

The police have arrested a 23-year-old man from Valletta for questioning.
