Lower inflation in euro area, EU
The annual inflation rate in the euro area was 3.3 per cent last month, down from 3.6 per cent in March. A year earlier, the rate was 1.9 per cent.The monthly inflation rate was 0.3 per cent, according to Eurostat. The EU annual inflation was 3.6 per cent, down from three per cent in March.
A year earlier, the rate was 2.2 per cent. Last month, the monthly inflation rate was 0.4 per cent.
