Actions needed at San Ġwann

Now that the first Labour local council at San Ġwann has its second mayor, I hope that special attention is given to some areas which these last two years have been completely ignored or neglected. I wish the mayor every success in building on what the previous councils managed to do all these years. Immediate action should include:

• better distribution of skips; the overflowing and inadequate number of skips in some zones must be seen to;

• the watering of plants and saplings which have not yet died in various gardens; replacing or removing altogether the empty flower pots, some of which are being used as rubbish bins;

• the replacement of the fatal merry-go-round and other broken apparatus; embellishment of the playing field;

• the re-writing of all the misleading boundary signs reported many months ago;

• the cleaning up of weeds on and under pavements...
