Mepa demolishes illegal farmhouse

The Malta Environment and Planning Authority yesterday demolished a farmhouse built illegally in an Ouside Development Zone in Wardija.
The action was the culmination of a long process which saw the developer submit three development applications which were refused. An appeal was also turned down.
The developer also asked a court to stop the demolition but the request was denied.
The structure consisted of seven rooms, with the outside walls built using rubble to create a farmhouse effect.
Mepa officials said nothing had existed on site before other than low walls.

Demolished : 1
Legalised : TOO Many!!
It would rather be the other way round if we really care for the environment and the actual Law forbidding illegal development. But as many will agree here it is who does the bad things that goes furthest in life.
