Theft charges
A Gozitan man was yesterday remanded in custody after he pleaded guilty to stealing various items from a car.
Magistrate Anthony Ellul heard Martin Joseph Xuereb, 35, admit to stealing €100 (Lm42.91) in cash, a mobile phone and a handbag from a car parked in Rabat, Gozo, on Sunday.
Magistrate Ellul remanded Mr Xuereb in custody until sentencing this morning.
Police Inspector Josric Mifsud prosecuted.
