Bank of Valletta supports 'showcase of artefacts'
Bank of Valletta has renewed its support for Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti, one of Malta's foremost organisations promoting the understanding of Malta's rich cultural heritage.
Tonio Depasquale, chief executive officer at Bank of Valletta (BOV) presented the bank's sponsorship to Maurice De Giorgio, chairman of the foundation, during a visit to Palazzo Falson in Mdina.
Palazzo Falson is the second oldest standing palazzo in Mdina, whose restoration was entrusted to the foundation and was made possible through such sponsorships as that of BOV. Founded in 1992, Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti serves as a showcase for artefacts from private collections that would otherwise be inaccessible to the public.
"Since Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti was established in 1992, we have set a solid reputation in the promotion and preservation of Maltese heritage both in Malta and overseas," said Mr De Giorgio.
"We are glad to meet at Palazzo Falson, our flagship building, to commemorate the close collaboration we have with Bank of Valletta, one of our associate patrons. We are confident that this collaboration will continue in the future to the benefit of locals and foreigners alike."
